The Phelungre Village hosted the Kiphire District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) pre-Christmas cum monthly meeting at Zungki Valley near Kiusam Bridge on 2 December 2023 that was held with the theme “You Are the Reason for the Season.”

According to DIPR, Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, John Tsulise Sangtam, expressed gratitude to the Council of Phelungre Village for hosting facilitating the arrangements for the outing and for hosting the Board. He also thanked the members for their contributions in his opening address.

During the session, the DPDB members approved the construction of a rostrum at the public ground in Phelungre Village. The decision was made with a commitment to enhance community infrastructure, and plans were set in motion to collaborate with relevant departments for its implementation, DIPR said.

Further, the Deputy Commissioner urged members not only to celebrate Christmas joyfully but also to actively contribute to society. He extended heartfelt wishes for a meaningful Christmas with families and anticipated the return of all members in good health for their future responsibilities.

ADC Kiphire, D. Robin chaired the meeting and the session also featured a special presentation by Senti Longchar, District Health Officer, Kiphire.
