Phesama Village opened a community library on September 17. In addition, the library provides resources on competitive exam preparations and ample reading space.
According to PSU President Mhasikhoto Chuse, the library initiative is part of a larger vision where as a Community, shared values can be preserved through such platforms. “For instance, old textbooks or usable uniforms if donated can be passed down to someone in need,” said Chuse.
“A library opened for the community is a noble initiative to give back to the society. In this space, students who have difficulty to study or give time to studies at home can make great use of the library equipped which is friendly for concentration,” said Rev Fr Charles Dsouza SJ, Principal, St Paul Institute, Phesama, during the inauguration.
