Phom Students’ Conference holds 72nd General Conference

Longleng: Rev Vangpong urges students to turn towards God for guidance and success in life

The introductory program of Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) 72nd General Conference was held at Bautung Memorial Hall, Longleng on 13th January 2025 with Er. S. Toshi Angh, Executive Engineer, PWD R&B, Longleng as the Introductory Guest.

In his speech, Toshi Angh recalled the dreams and visions of the founding fathers of Phom Students Conference (PSC) and urged the present generation students to be sincere in their studies and other co-curricular activities. He also highlighted about the present scenario and the ranks and files of Phom Gazetted officers, and challenged the younger generation to strive harder.

Speaking on the theme, “Paradigm Shift”, Rev. D. Vangpong, Executive Secretary, NCRCPC highlighted about the rapid change in culture and living standards of the people. He further stressed on the need for people to change their ways and turn towards God for guidance and success in life.

During the opening ceremony Orangkong Students’ Union (OSU) enthralled the gathering with their special performance, while Anaki Phom Students’ Union (APSU) performed a special song seeking blessings.

The program was chaired by Manngai H. Phom and M. Chunyei Phom, while the invocation was pronounced by Rev. M. Adao Phom, Pastor, Yachem Baptist Attoi. Welcome address was delivered by M. Pangnyei Phom, Speaker PLP and word of gratitude was proposed by Chemphang Phom, Convener of Conference Committee.
