Photography Club Kiphire hosts first-ever photography programme and exhibition

The Photography Club Kiphire celebrated its first-ever photography programme-cum-exhibition at the Agape Higher Secondary School Auditorium, marking a milestone for the district’s creative community.

Guest speaker, Moses Newmai, District Cultural Officer, lauded the initiative of the Photography Club, describing it as an encouraging platform for upcoming photographers and enthusiasts to learn and grow. He assured that the department would continue to coordinate and work with the photography community to create a positive impact on society.

Sharing his personal story as a person who loves taking pictures though it’s just a hobby, he said that photographs are precious for every individual as it keeps the memories and happiness alive even when time passes by.

In his address, P Lipichem, Proprietor of Agape Higher Secondary School, said that pioneer photographers in the district carry the responsibility of guiding, inspiring, and supporting the upcoming young photographers towards the right path for growth and sustainability.

President of the Photography Club Kiphire, Kitoka Sangtam, expressed heartfelt gratitude to supporters, well-wishers, and attendees for their encouragement and dedication, which contributed to the success of the Club’s first programme.

The Photography Club Kiphire envisions uplifting aspiring photographers across communities and genders, providing them with opportunities to learn, grow, and use photography as both a career and a passion. It is a group who wants to encourage, learn and grow together as photographers who will make positive impact to our society.

The event was supported by Ihsa Coffee Café, Kiphire Printing Press, Smoky Pots Café & Restaurant, and Agape Higher Secondary School.

The programme was chaired by Tsosing, with an invocation by Yotsala, a welcome note by Binite, and a special number by Lumzila. The first photography exhibition was unveiled by guest speaker Moses Newmai, and the event concluded with check-outs and bookings of exhibition photographs.
