Keeping his tradition of celebrating Diwali with the security forces posted in remote places, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Lepcha in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. He will be spending the ‘Festival of Lights’ with the jawans who are away from their own families during the joyous occasion.
In a post on X, PM Modi announced, “Reached Lepcha in Himachal Pradesh to celebrate Diwali with our brave security forces.”

Last year, PM Modi celebrated the festival with soldiers in Kargil and the previous year in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, in another post on X, he had conveyed Diwali greetings to all. “Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this special festival bring joy, prosperity and wonderful health to everyone’s lives,” PM Modi wrote.
