Prime Minister Narendra Modi has acknowledged and appreciated the works done in Tuensang district, Nagaland under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Replying to a tweet of the State’s Minister for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, Modi, on Monday, wrote “Good! We’ve seen tremendous energy towards Swachhata all across India, which has led to tangible benefits in various sectors including health and women empowerment.”

Zhimomi had on 15 April 2023 shared a number of photos of toilets and compost pits, etc, constructed in the various villages in the district including New Chungliyimti, Keyanru, N/Tsadang and Angangba villages under SBM (2022-23). He also wrote, “Nagaland is leaving no stone unturned” in carrying forward Modi’s vision for Swachh Bharat.
“Our commitment towards universal sanitation coverage across rural Nagaland remains firm and resolute,” Zhimomi added.
