PM Modi slams INDIA bloc leaders for eating non-veg food during Navratri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, accused the INDIA bloc of only indulges in appeasement politics disregarding India’s culture”, pointing out that leaders of the alliance had posted on social media eating non-vegetarian food especially during the holy month of Navratri. The PM added that such acts show that the I.N.D.I alliance does not care for the sentiments and values of the Indian people and simply indulge in divisive politics.

Navratri is synonymous for Durga Puja but is celebrated for nine nights in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Addressing a campaign rally ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, at Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi also took a dig at the Opposition for boycotting the inaugural of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He added, “The I.N.D.I alliance has cited the Pran-Pratishtha of Shri Ram as an issue for elections but they forget that this movement has been ongoing for over 500 years.” He remarked, “In the advent of continuing their politics of appeasement, the leaders of I.N.D.I alliance lived in big bungalows but forced Ram Lalla to live in a tent.”

During the campaign, PM Modi also stated, “After several decades, it is the first time that terrorism, bandhs, stone pelting, and border skirmishes are not the issues for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state of J&K.”

Stating that unprecedented development has been witnessed in J&K in the last 10 years, PM Modi criticized the Congress and its alliance parties, People’s Democratic Party and National Conference for not wishing for the “holistic development of JandK.”

The Prime Minister said that the abrogation of Article 370 was a big and bold decision by the BJP government that has “enabled equal constitutional rights for all, record increase in tourism and establishment of IIM and IIT for quality educational prospects in the state.” He also asserted that his government is committed to eliminate corruption and foster the development of J&K.
