PM Modi wins from Varanasi for third time

Varanasi: Amit Shah wins from Gandhinagar, Gujarat by margin of 7,44,716 votes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won a third term as Member of Parliament from the Parliamentary Constituency of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

There were six candidates who tried to grasp the Varanasi seat from Modi. In the end he won by 1,52,513 votes. His closest contender was Ajay Rai from the Indian National Congress who received. Modi received 6,12,970 votes while Rai got 4,60,457 votes.

PM Modi had from Varanasi in 2014 by a margin of 2,09,238 votes. In 2018, he won by a margin of 1,95,159.

Home Minister Amit Shah too have won from Gandhinagar, Gujarat by a margin of 7,44,716 votes.

Among the more prominent figures from the BJP whose victory has been officially declared include Kiren Rijiju from Arunachal West, Anurag Singh Thakur from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh, Jyotiraditya M Scindia from Guna in Madhya Pradesh, Om Birla from Kota in Rajasthan, G Kishan Reddy from Secunderabad in Telangana and Kangana Ranaut from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
