The District Administration, in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) under the Department of Social Welfare, successfully organized a special drive under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) on Wednesday at the Cultural Hall, Shamator.

The objective of the event was to facilitate on-the-spot registration of beneficiaries under the PMMVY scheme, with a special emphasis on Aadhaar seeding and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) linking. This effort is aimed at ensuring the timely and transparent disbursement of maternity benefits to eligible women.

The drive witnessed active participation from a large number of eligible beneficiaries, Anganwadi workers, and community members, helping to improve both awareness and access to maternity entitlements in the district.

Officials from the Department of Social Welfare encouraged participants to take full advantage of the scheme, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering women and strengthening maternal health and welfare services in Shamator district.
