The Pochury Hoho on Monday condemned the killings of its tribesmen and Naga national workers late Eleaser Thupitor of Mokie village and late Atshale of Old Thewati Village in Meluri sub-division, Phek district.
In a statement, the Hoho said that the inhuman and gruesome act upon the two men was uncalled for and unacceptable ‘when the Naga community is living in peace and harmony’.
It stated that late Thupitor was beaten and shot dead while late Atshale’s charred remains were retrieved from the forest by villages of Mokie on Sunday.
Pochury Hoho has demanded that the perpetrators of the brutal act be booked and punished as per the law.
It also conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
