The casting of Postal Ballot by Absentee Voters will be held on 9th and 10th April 2024, the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant has notified all concerned Absentee Voters in the category of Senior citizens (AVSC) – 85 years and above, Absentee Voters belonging to PwD Category (AVPD) and Absentee Voters belonging to COVID 19 category (AVCO) who has opted for voting through Postal ballot and are found eligible.
The door-to-door casting and collection of Postal Ballot will be conducted by Polling Teams along with Micro-Observer and Videographer starting 9th April, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (First visit). However, if the Polling Teams are unable to locate any voter(s) in the first visit, the polling team shall visit for the second time on 10th April 2024.
All concerned Political Parties and candidates have been informed to assign representatives on the specified dates in the respective Polling Station number (Annexure enclosed) to witness the process, the DC & DEO has informed.
In 8th Western Angami Assembly Constituency, Polling Station number to be covered are 3,4,5,26,28,24. In 8th Western Angami AC Polling Station number to be covered are 1,2,7,9,11,12,13,15,17,18,19,22,23,25,29 (AVPD-1,18 & 23).
In 9 Kohima Town AC Polling Station number to be covered are 2,4,5,6,7,8,23,35 (AVPD-2,5,6,7,35).
In 14 Southern Angami-I AC Polling Station number to be covered are14,15 (AVPD-14,15).
In 9 Kohima Town AC Polling Station number to be covered are14,15,16,19,20,21,22,24 (AVPD-14,24)
