The Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Power Department has that due to some technical fault developed in the 66/33KV, 10 MVA Power Transformer on 30th August 2024 at 66/33KV, Tuensang Sub-station under transmission Division Mokokchung, power supply to Tuensang, Noklak and Shamator districts has been disrupted. The department is making all possible arrangements to rectify the problem, Er. Hekaito Assumi said.

In this regard, the Department informed that an emergency arrangement has been put in place to supply power to the affected areas from the existing 5 MVA transformer for which there will be imposition of frequent load restrictions till the 10 MVA Power Transformer is fully restored and charged.

Therefore, the Power Department urged its consumers in the affected districts to bear with the inconveniences as the Department is making its best efforts in resolving the issue at the earliest.
