President, VP, PM greet people of Nagaland on 61st Statehood Day

Kohima: Andhra Pradesh Raj Bhavan organize program to celebrate Nagaland’s Statehood Day

President of India, Droupadi Murmu on Friday sent her greetings to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of the 61st Statehood Day.  In her post on X, the President prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the residents of the State which she said is a “land of vibrant people and rich culture” with natural resources and serene environment.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in his message stated, “A harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, Nagaland stands as a testament to the diversity of our nation. May the cultural tapestry of Nagaland continue to weave stories of growth, strength and harmony.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too took to X to wish the people on the Statehood Day. “The state’s fascinating history, colorful festivals and warm-hearted people are greatly admired,” the PM said. He also hoped that the 61st Statehood Day will “reinforce Nagaland’s journey towards growth and success.”

In Andhra Pradesh, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer participated in a program organised to celebrate Nagaland’s Statehood Day at the Durbar Hall in the State’s Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada. Governor Nazeer, the Chief Guest, extended his hearty greetings to the people of the ‘Land of Festivals’ and wished “the State scales new heights of development in the near future.”
