Pro Fitness Gym, a renowned fitness center in Wokha established in 2024, was founded with the vision of eradicating drug addiction in the district and promoting healthy lifestyles among the youth. On March 16, the gym collaborated with Ekumrhong Rehab Centre to further this vision by opening free fitness training sessions for the Centre’s clients.
Ekumrhong Rehab Centre, located in Yikhum village, Wokha district, was established in 2021 by the Yikhum Baptist Church with the mission to transform lives and bring individuals closer to God. The Centre is fully managed by the church without government assistance, with the primary goal of helping Nagas overcome drug addiction.
Mhabemo Odyuo, Director of Ekumrhong Rehab Centre, informed that the facility is dedicated to serving Naga youth in general. Clients are admitted for a 45-day rehabilitation program with only a mess fee registration of ₹7,000. Since its inception in 2021, the Centre has attended to more than 200 clients, many of whom have successfully overcome their addictions, while others continue to struggle—an issue the ministry is addressing with seriousness and commitment.

The Director further shared that the Centre organizes exposure activities every 30 days for its clients. While the collaboration with Pro Fitness Gym marked their first gym experience, clients have also participated in futsal games, outdoor sports, and recreational activities as part of their rehabilitation journey.
