The Pro Fitness Gym was inaugurated on 3 December 2024 at the OCK Complex Market. The inaugural event was graced by Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Vineet Kumar, IAS and renowned fitness enthusiast and bodybuilder Moalong Yaden as the guests of honour.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of fitness in daily life. He noted that the shift from an agrarian lifestyle to modern comforts has contributed to declining physical health and said that prioritising health is essential and that everything else, including work, comes secondary. Kumar also dispelled the misconception that gyms are solely for bodybuilding, underscoring their role in promoting overall fitness. He added that fitness could offer a constructive path for youth, especially those vulnerable to drug addiction.

Moalong Yaden shared his personal journey, recounting how the gym helped him overcome addiction and transforme his life. He expressed hope that the new facility would inspire positive physical, mental, and spiritual changes in the community. Yaden also urged the gym’s entrepreneurs to focus not only on profit but also on supporting and uplifting the youth.

Entrepreneur Ren Khuvung stated that the launch of Pro Fitness Gym aims to foster a culture of health and wellness in Wokha, offering a space for individuals to improve their fitness and adopt healthier lifestyles.
