Professor completes TATA Mumbai Marathon 2025 virtual run in Dimapur, advocating for Eastern Nagaland

Dr. Aniruddha Babar, Director of Project Constitutional Justice, academician, and researcher from Nagaland, successfully participated in the TATA Mumbai Marathon 2025 virtual run, completing an impressive 21.097 kilometres in the city of Dimapur.

“This remarkable endeavour was not just a test of physical endurance but a symbolic gesture of solidarity. Dr. Aniruddha dedicated his run to the Frontier Nagaland Movement, the state of Nagaland, and the nation, highlighting the aspirations and struggles of the people of Eastern Nagaland,” informed a press release by Babar.  In November 2024, he endured a serious motorcycle accident that resulted in significant injuries. Despite these challenges, he showcased exceptional determination, completing the Half Marathon with unwavering perseverance.

According to the press release, the effort not only exemplified Dr. Babar’s commitment to societal causes but also symbolically brought Dimapur and Mumbai closer, uniting two cities through the shared spirit of purpose and resilience. Dr. Babar’s participation serves as a powerful example of advocacy through meaningful action. By leveraging platforms like the TATA Mumbai Marathon, he brought attention to critical regional and national issues, reinforcing the need for collective engagement in building a just and equitable society.
