In a remarkable achievement, Puchio Herrick P from Tuensang Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) won the National Championship in the National Level Spot Painting Competition 2023 at the EMRS National Cultural Fest 2023, which took place from October 3rd to October 6th, 2023, in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The event was organized by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

DIPR stated that Puchio Herrick P’s talent and artistic prowess were showcased on a national stage, where he emerged victorious among a pool of exceptionally talented participants from across the country.

19 enthusiastic students and two dedicated teachers represented Nagaland at the EMRS National Cultural Fest 2023 where they showcased their cultural and artistic talents, demonstrating the rich cultural diversity and creativity of the state.
