The Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Pungro, Kiphire, Yitachu has informed that several parts of the roads in the Sub-division are cut off due to mudslides and a rockslide.

The affected roads include between “Penkim and Tsundang, Penkim and Fakim to Tsundang Sangtsong and Vongtsuvong and Fakim”, while the rockslide is between Khongjiri and Mimi.

According to DIPR, the EAC has further informed that many people from Pungro village and other travellers were stranded and the roads are not even two wheelers.

In this connection, the EAC informed that JCB and manpower has been deployed for road clearance and is expected to be cleared soon.
