The monthly gathering of the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) took place on October 26 at the Cultural Hall in Pungro Town, informed a DIPR report. EAC Yitachu Thur extended a warm welcome to all members and attendees, and the meeting began with a comprehensive review of previous agendas.
The meeting discussed the examination of various proposals and development plans, resulting in the approval of several significant agendas such as the proposal presented by the GBs of Khongsa Areas for the construction of an Area GBs Court at Khongsa Headquarters, he proposal to build a waiting shed at the Assistant Commandant VG Office premises in Pungro Town, as highlighted by NVG Pungro Town and the plan for the construction of a multipurpose hall for the Yimkhiung Tribal Council in Pungro Town. The proposal, presented by Advisor S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, for the acquisition of a site to construct a Community Health Centre (CHC) in Pungro was also deliberated.
Approval was granted for the establishment of a Sub-Divisional Horticulture Office at Pungro Hq., as highlighted by the Department of Agriculture.

The proposal for the re-survey of the proposed alignment from Thanamir to Longkhimvong, with the aim of creating a 2-lane road with a hard shoulder from Mon, connecting Longwa-Pangsha-Choklangan-Tutang-Khongkha to Avakhung in the state. This proposal was presented by EAC Pungro Yitachu Thur and Advisor S. Kiusumew Yimchunger. The proposal for the consideration of the alignment plan from Pungro-Salomi-Moya under Priority 1 Phase 1 was also accepted.
According to DIPR, these approvals represent significant steps in the development and enhancement of Pungro and the surrounding areas.
Notable attendees included S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Relief, and Rehabilitation, alongside several prominent local officials and GBs.
