The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting for Pungro under Kiphire district was convened at the Cultural Hall on Wednesday. The meeting was graced by the presence of Chairman S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Relief, and Rehabilitation, DIPR informed.

The meeting commenced by reviewing the minutes of the previous meeting and introducing new members. Various subjects were deliberated upon, including the construction of a veterinary center at Khongsa, the expedited commissioning of an office, and the proposal for an Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in the Khongsa block. Discussions also touched on infrastructure development, road construction, and the establishment of administrative circles to further enhance the region’s amenities.

The meeting concluded with a presentation on the activities of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) and encouragement from EAC Pungro Yitachu Thurr for active participation from members in uplifting the welfare of the community.
