The monthly Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting of Pungro was convened on December 11th at ADC Office premise, Pungro Town. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of SDPDB Pungro and ADC Pungro, James T Khulu Tikhir, NCS.
During the meeting, the proposal submitted by the ADC for construction of a new Town Council Office in Pungro Town was approved and forwarded to the concerned department. The board while reviewing the last meeting minute deliberated on the on-going activities of the sub-division discussion on key issues like shortage of manpower for operation and maintenance under Power Department.

The meeting also addressed the shortage of manpower and urgent need of additional staff for the operation and maintenance of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED). The proposal for the reconstruction of Government Primary School in Penkim Village was deferred to the next meeting. The board also discussed the need to relocate the Community Health Centre (CHC) to facilitate further expansion and improved the healthcare services of the region.
The meeting concluded with a focus on prioritizing the developmental needs of the sub-division.
