PWOK and PSUK condemns physical abuse of minor girl

The Pochury Women Organisation Kohima (PWOK) and Pochury Students’ Union, Kohima (PSUK) has condemned the physical abuse of a minor girl by a resident in Jotsoma.

The two organisations has stated that the incident took place in Jotsoma wherein Dr. Vibino Sabina, hailing from Khonoma village and presently residing in Jotsoma, have been habitually and regularly harassing and physically torturing and abusing a minor girl of 11 years from last year until her rescue by the Child Welfare. Committee, Kohima on May 30 2024.

“The PWOK and PSUK extend profound gratitude to the principal and staff of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Jotsoma for observing and rescuing the minor child and reporting the matter to the concerned authority and also to the Child Welfare Committee, Kohima for timely intervention and protection of the minor child,” stated the organizations.

The PWOK and PSUK further appealed to the concerned authorities for prompt and appropriate action as per the law.

“We firmly believe that justice will be delivered to the victim at the earliest. The PWOK and PSUK call upon all right thinking citizens to come forward and condemn such inhuman act,” stated the organizations.
