Quality improvement training on large cardamom held

A quality improvement training program on Large Cardamom was successfully conducted at Yuching village, Mon, Nagaland, on July 29. The technical sessions were led by Sam Sing Taro, Officer-in-Charge of the Spices Board, Field Office, Dimapur.

The training covered essential topics such as nursery management, pest and disease management, harvesting, and post-harvest practices.

Ariba from NE-RACE (Northeast Region Agri-Commodity E-connect) provided valuable insights on marketing and market linkage, business development, and farmer registration.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from the Village Council Chairman of Yuching village.

Following the training, participants visited several cardamom plantations to gain practical knowledge and exposure.

The training aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of local farmers, enabling them to improve the quality and productivity of their cardamom crops. By equipping farmers with the latest techniques and best practices, the program sought to contribute to the overall development of the region’s agricultural sector.
