Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lumami, Nagaland University, hosted an interschool quiz competition on Thursday to celebrate Parakram Divas, honoring Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The event also promoted Pariksha Pe Charcha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative for exam readiness.
55 students from KV Lumami, JNV Lumami, and GHSS Akuluto participated in the quiz competition which was based on the TV series Bharat Hai Hum.
Earlier, the program began with a motivational speech by the principal Amit Kumar Gupta and featured episodes on freedom fighters like Mangal Pandey and Rani Lakshmi Bai. Winners received certificates and cash prizes, while others received participation certificates, fostering patriotism and academic enthusiasm.
According to a press release from NU PRO Peter Ki, KV NU Lumami was established in the year 2017. The Vidyalaya is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under the Ministry of Education and affiliated to CBSE with an endeavour to facilitate children of Nagaland University Employee, Central Government Employees, Defence Personnel and employees of autonomous bodies who are liable to be transferred from one state to another state to receive uninterrupted educational facilities with easy accessibility to any Kendriya Vidyalaya in any part of the country.
