The Red Cross Society, Mokokchung District, visited Chungtia village on August 29 to extend support to families affected by the recent landslide. The team, led by General Secretary Dr SS Akaba Longchar along with the treasurer and office assistant, visited the affected households, assessed the situation on the ground, and interacted with the victims.
During the visit, the Society provided financial assistance of ₹10,000 to the families as immediate relief to help them cope with their urgent needs. The support was extended as part of the Society’s humanitarian response and commitment to assisting communities during crises.
