The Red Ribbon Club of Livingstone Foundation International College observed a Mental Health Awareness Program on October 19, under the theme “Be kind to your Mind.”
Linoto Assumi, a Psychotherapist from Eden Medical Centre, graced the event as the Guest of honor. Assumi spoke on the significant influence of the environment on mental health and posed the thought-provoking question, “Are you a virus, or a cure?”
She also stressed on the importance of seeking help at the right time and being a source of support in someone’s life, even without professional training.
The program was hosted by Kevin, a student in his 3rd semester pursuing a Bachelor of Arts. It commenced with an invocation by Ingauringle from the History Department, followed by the presentation of the college anthem by the Evangelical Union, LFIC. The welcome address was delivered by Sashirenla Mollier, the Academic Dean.
