The Rengma Hoho, the apex body representing the Rengma community, has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions between the SAPO and MAO communities in the Kezoltsa/Kozürü area.
“The ongoing dispute has led to adverse effects, causing distress and anguish among both communities. In light of this, the Rengma Hoho urgently appeals to all parties involved to prioritize mutual respect and promote peaceful coexistence,” implored the Hoho in a statement issued on March 22.
The Hoho specifically urged the APO & SAPO to reconsider their ultimatum issued to the MAO Community and refrain from any drastic actions that may escalate the situation further. “It is important to allow peace to prevail, especially considering that the conditions outlined in the ultimatum have already been met through TPO mediation,” mentioned the statement issued by Er. Tesinlo Semy, President and Shatilo Kent, General Secretary.

At this critical juncture, the Rengma Hoho earnestly prays for mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, emphasizing the importance of fostering the spirit of brotherhood among the Nagas,” stated the Rengma Hoho.
