Results in 10 seats declared, TR Zeliang wins big at 7 Peren A/C

Kohima: T.R. Zeliang won by an enormous margin of 9639 votes

Results in 10 Assembly Constituencies have been declared at 1:00 pm on Thursday.

Former chief minister of Nagaland T.R. Zeliang won by an enormous margin of 9639 votes to retain 7 Peren Assembly Constituency in Peren district. This is his first election since joining Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP).

Besides, Zeliang’s win, NDPP has also won 5 other seats, while its alliance Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won 2 seats, one being from 31 Akuluto A/C where Kazheto Zimomi had won uncontested.

P.Bashangmongba Chang (BJP) has won 53 Tuensang Sadar-I A/C by 5,644 votes.

S.Keoshu Yimchunger (NDPP) has been declared winner in 58-Shamator by a margin of 2295 votes.

Mhathung Yanthan (NDPP) got victory in 39 Sanis A/C by a massive 11,648 votes.

In 25 Mongoya A/C, Imkongmar (NDPP) has won by 1042 votes.

T.N. Manen (NDPP) has won 23 Impur A/C by 1095 votes.

In 54 Tuensang Sadar-II A/C, Imtichobo of Republican Party of India (Athawale) won by 400 votes.

RPI (Athawale) has also won another seat at 51 Noksen A/C, where Y. Lima Onen Chang emerged victorious by a mere 188 votes.

S.Toiho Yeptho of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won 33 Suruhoto A/C by a meagre 68 votes.
