Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio today reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a systematic and transparent recruitment process following the revocation of regularization orders for 147 assistant professors and librarians.
He made the statement while addressing the media following the inauguration of the Deputy Commissioner’s bungalow in Mokokchung on May 2.
The Chief Minister stated that the earlier cabinet decision to regularize the appointments was based on multiple rounds of observation. However, due to a lack of clarity from the concerned department and findings from an interim report, the government decided to temporarily revoke the regularization.

He added that the final decision will be made after the high-power committee submits its conclusive report. “And definitely, the requisition will be made through the NPSC recruitment,” affirmed Rio emphasising recruitment in line with established government procedures.
Rio also emphasized that the government will not act on the basis of demands or threats from any organization and will continue to uphold a structured approach in all administrative matters.
