The day commenced on a high note with a friendly football match at the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) between the Nagaland U-20 team and the BFC Young Blues Elite Team. The Nagaland side showcased exceptional skill and determination, clinching a decisive 4–0 victory.
Following the match, the delegation toured the Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS), India’s first privately-funded high-performance sports training center. Equipped with Olympic-grade infrastructure, cutting-edge sports science technology, and expert coaching, IIS stands as a premier hub for elite athlete development in South Asia.
The Chief Minister and his team observed live training sessions, interacted with athletes and coaches, and reviewed the advanced systems in place to support India’s sporting excellence.
The delegation also visited several key JSW community and innovation facilities, including the BPO, Safety Experience Centre, Sakhi, Bunkai, and OPJC, all of which highlight JSW’s efforts toward inclusivity, workforce empowerment, and innovation-driven development.
At the sprawling Vijayanagar Steel Plant, the delegation was given an immersive tour of the JSW Group’s industrial capabilities. Chief Minister Rio was felicitated by PK Murugan, President of JSW Steel, at the JSW Group Experience Centre.
The team also explored the operations of Blast Furnace 4 and Hot Strip Mill 2 (HSM 2), gaining insights into the technological excellence that powers one of India’s largest steel manufacturing units.
Throughout the visit, CM Rio and his delegation held high-level meetings with the JSW leadership, focusing on long-term developmental partnerships. Discussions covered a wide spectrum—from sports infrastructure development, youth skill-building, industrial investments, cultural programs and art residencies.
