A major road blockage caused due to persistent landslide at Sanis Sub division, under Wokha district, was once again cleared by Road Maintenance Party on May 29, informed a DIPR report.

The landslide area measuring about 1km from Sanis 0 (zero) Point towards Baghty town was cleared the day before, but was blocked again with fresh slide occurrence during the night.

Public commuters and transportation activities from within the local areas and other districts, as well as from other States using the major road, remained stranded and halted until the time of clearance.

Two JCBs, from both sides of Sanis and Baghty were pressed for clearance amidst continuing rain.
