The Tening Town Administration conducted a Girls’ Marathon under the banner of Bedi Bachao Bedi Padhao on January 27.

According to DIPR, the marathon was held under the theme “Run the Race…Raise the Girl” amongst the Tening area girls between the age group of 11-18 years.

ADC Tening, Lemlila Sangtam exhorted the girls to give their best in life and to shine, for they are the future gems of the society. She further encouraged the participants never to lose faith and purpose in life; to pursue what is good; and strive to reach for the stars.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates along with prizes for the winners and participants.
