The Home Department, Government of Nagaland, on Friday announced that Rupin Sharma, IPS, will take over the charge of Nagaland Director General of Police (DGP) with effect from 7 January 2023.

Hailing from Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, Sharma, a 1992 batch officer of Nagaland cadre, is currently serving as the DG (Prisons & HG.CD & SDRF) and will continue to hold the duties “till further orders”.
