Rüsoma orange festival underway

The two-day 5th edition of Rüsoma orange festival was inaugurated at local ground Rüsoma on January 30 with MLA & Advisor Department of Tribal Affairs & Election, Tovihoto Ayemi as special guest. This year’s festival edition is being held on the theme, “Abundance of Rüsoma”.

In his address, Ayemi said everything is good about the village except that the village lacks good roads and urged to work on that. He said Rüsoma village is blessed with fertile land and it was good to see that the village is making use of them and called them fortunate.

He highlighted of the government of the day is working towards improving the life of the farmers and encouraged them to make use of it. He highlighted how the farmers can contribute to the state economy by building their farming.

He highlighted how this festival would attract tourism and appealed to them to work hard for improvements and implore new ideas.

He said the government would continue to support the farmers and called for more collaboration with concern departments. He said consistency is the key of success so he encouraged them to be consistency and advised them to be open to improvements. He said they would look into possibilities expand market opportunities, and build sustainable livelihood. So with the cooperation between the community and the government they would work to create an agricultural model that is productive, profitable, and environmentally responsible, he added.

The program was chaired by Kekhrie Pfukha. Rev Medoneiu Üsou blessed the program with invocation.

Convenor, Organizing Committee, Visier Vimera pronounced the welcome address.  Medokhrieü Pfukri blessed the crowd with her enchanting voice.
