S Supongmeren Jamir took oath as Member of the 18th Lok Sabha today at the New Parliament Building in New Delhi.
Jamir, who is from Indian National Congress, was earlier this month elected as the representative of Nagaland to the Lower House. The Congress Party had won the Lok Sabha election in Nagaland after 20 years.
Jamir held up pocket copy of the Constitution as he took his oath on Tuesday.
Bhartruhari Mahtab, the pro-tem Speaker, was on the chair.
