‘One Day Training on School Self-Evaluation Under Shaala Siddhi Programme (2023-2024)’ for teachers was organised by District Education Mission Office, Samagra Shiksha, Tuensang was held at CKS Hall Tuensang on Saturday. The training was attended by over a hundred teachers from all schools under Tuensang, Shamator and Noklak districts respectively.

The resource person was Rukozo Hoshi, state co-ordinator, State Mission Authority. He said that the training aimed at identifying the strengths and areas of improvement for each school. He also highlighted seven key domains and core standards of evaluation under Shaala Siddhi programme. They are:

Key Domain-I: School infrastructure and resources should be managed properly in each district

Key Domain-II: Teaching-learning and assessment

Key Domain-III: Learner’s progress, attainment and development

Key Domain-IV: Managing teacher performance and professional development should take place strictly in each school

Key Domain-V: School leadership management should be encouraged

Key Domain-VI: Inclusion of health and safety which is one of the basic necessities in education factors

Key Domain-VII: Production of community participation

The training program was chaired by A. Lakhum Yimkhiung, Shaala Siddhi District in-charge DMA, Tuensang.
