Sampoornata Abhiyan culminates in Kiphire

The Sampoornata Abhiyan Samapan Samaroh culmination programme was held at Hoponkiu memorial hall, Kiphire on 1st of October 2024.

Gracing the occasion as the as the special guest, ADC Seyochung, Imsenperon Wati, NCS stated that Kiphire District was chosen as an Aspirational District for Nagaland, with a vision that the district might come up at par with rest of the districts in the state. He said the Kiphire was lagging behind in education, health and agriculture sectors. Referring to the present scenario, he lauded the stakeholder departments and participants for their hard work and dedication, thus bringing success to the activities of Sampoornata Abhiyan. By Empowering a women we empower a family, and as we empower women the whole society gets empowered, Wati said. He further encouraged the people to work together as a team to achieve more.

SDO © & Nodal Officer (Aspirational District Programme), Bendang Longkumer, NCS delivering the keynote address said that Sampoornata Abhiyan is a visionary programme initiated by the Government for holistic development that would empower every citizen. He informed that through this programme, the district has been able to improve health care facilities extending to the remotest villages. He added that malnutrition among women and children has been significantly reduced through the efforts of Poshan Abhiyan.

Technical report was delivered by Sukanya ABF, NITI Aayog. A slide show was presented highlighting various activities undertaken by line departments over the past three months. This was followed by prize distribution to AWW, ASHA, ANM/ GNM workers for their hard work and dedication.

EAC Khonsa & Nodal Officer (Aspirational Block Programme), Yitachu while giving a short speech, congratulated the concerned departments and participants under Khonsa and district level for bringing tremendous improvement in status of ranking in performing Aspirational block activities.

During the programme, heads of offices and representatives from various departments under ADP (Aspirational District Programme) and ABP (Aspirations Block programme) shared their experiences. Vote of thanks was delivered by ADC Kiphire HQ, Longdiba L. Sangtam while the programme was chaired by EAC (HQ), Takatemjen Pongen.
