Kiphire: No voting during Lok Sabha election, says USLP

United Sangtam Likhum Pumji, the apex tribal council of the Sangtam community, has unanimously decided to uphold the 23rd February 2024 Chenmoho Resolution to abstain from participating in the Lok Sabha elections in protest of the failure on the part of Government of India to fulfil its promise on Frontier Nagaland Territory.

USLP has said that this decision was made at a meeting held on Tuesday at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall, Kiphire to discuss the Eastern Nagaland Public Emergency.

USLP informed that Tuesday’s meeting was attended by USSC, AST, all the Head GBs, GBs, VCCs, VCMs, students’ union leaders, women leaders of the District numbering to around 345 leaders from 45 villages and eleven wards.
