Even in her 80s now, she continues to maintain a strong voice for peaceful conflict resolution, women’s rights, and other social issues, particularly drug and alcohol abuse that plague the Naga society.
The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) on Sunday extended its congratulations and
profound admiration to Sano Vamuzo on being given the prestigious Baptist World Alliance recognition.
“Her visionary leadership has redefined women’s empowerment, forged pathways for conflict resolution, and constructed enduring bridges of peace that extend far beyond the Naga community. Through decades of courageous advocacy and selfless service, she has crafted an indelible legacy that continues to illuminate the path for future generations,” WCH said in a statement.
Stating that it celebrates the momentous achievement with immense pride and gratitude, the Hoho further prayed for continued strength and grace upon her life and mission.
