The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) have announced the complete shutdown of Sao chang college, Tuensang in protest against their unfulfilled demands.

Highlighting the memorandum which was submitted to the Department, Sangli, General Secretary (CWS) stressed again on the demands of the CWS i. e deployment of a principal, shortage of teaching faculties and non-teaching staff, allocation of college buses, and upgradation of science laboratory.

“The Department has failed to address our issues that is why CWS gave an ultimatum which expired on October 2. We were about to take action on  October 3 but we waited till October 4 to hear the grievances of the Government,” said the General Secretary.

The CWS submitted the rejoinder letter and on October 11 held had a meeting where the Department is said to have stated that “It’s not our responsibility”.

“So the question is, who is responsible to look up for the college?” questioned Sangli.

The CWS has urged all the students to “co-operate with each other for a better tomorrow and stand firmly united to march forward if their demands are not satisfied.”
