Sao Chang College celebrated its Golden Jubilee (1973-2023) with gravity on Saturday at College Multi-purpose Hall. The guest speaker was Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa NCS, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman Advisory Board, Sao Chang College, Tuensang.
Rutsa, in her speech, shared immense joy and gratitude to God for the opportunity to be a part of 50th Years celebration of the college. She thanked Nunsang Chang for the vision and dream he had for Tuensang and the seed he planted for its people. She also congratulated the management, principal-in-charge, staff and students for the successfully organizing this special occasion.

Speaking on the topic ‘Success and Time Management’, she said success is for those people who are willing to sacrifice and work hard whether he/she is brilliant, average or dull when he/she is fully committed to the goal and do not allow other things sidetrack them.
The Tuensang DC also encouraged the students to develop time management in one’s life because it is the process of organizing and planning how to divide one’s time between different activities.
Many dignitaries and alumni of the college took part in the grand celebration on the occasion.
Earlier, the welcome note was delivered by Longtichang Tzudir, principal-in-charge of Sao Chang College.
The program was chaired by Bashang, B.A.5th Sememster while Dr Kenilo Kath, Assistant Professor, Department of History said the invocation. Special number was presented by Sao Chang College Students Union.
The widow of Late Sao Chang and representative of Chongpho Khel, Tuensang Village also gave brief speeches at the program. The vote of thanks was delivery by Akyuba Sangtam, Asst. Prof and member, planning committee.
The function ended with the singing of college anthem and followed up by jubilee feast.
