The 11th Nagaland SARAS Fair 2026, which commenced on March 26, successfully concluded on March 31 at Khuochiezie Local Ground, Kohima, marking the end of a vibrant six-day celebration of rural enterprise, culture, and community spirit.
The closing ceremony was graced by Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Tourism and Higher Education, Nagaland, as the special guest. And Lansothung Yanthan, State Program Manager, NSRLM as the host.
Awards were also presented to recognize outstanding participants. Orchid SHG from Mon Block, Mon District, received the award for Best Stall (Nagaland), while Devithan SHG from Sikkim State Rural Livelihoods Mission was awarded Best Stall (Other State). The Best District Coordinator award was conferred upon V Ayetoli from Suruhoto Block, Zunheboto District.
Organised by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) under the Department of Rural Development, Government of Nagaland, the fair served as a significant platform to promote rural artisans, particularly women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and local entrepreneurs.
The fair featured around 100 stalls showcasing a wide array of rural crafts, handwoven textiles, and indigenous food items. Participants included 43 SHGs, six national participants, and representatives from 23 departments and organizations. Exhibitors came from various districts of Nagaland as well as other parts of the country.

Throughout the six days, the event highlighted local entrepreneurship and cultural richness through activities such as the Indigenous Naga Cuisine Culinary Competition, live performances, and the “I Am Womenfolk” showcase.
The fair culminated in a grand closing celebration described as a “Culmination Extravaganza,” where visitors enjoyed an evening filled with music, food, laughter, and lively performances, bringing the event to a memorable and festive conclusion.
Adding to the excitement, local artistes Savizo and Moko Koza delivered special performances during the closing program.
