The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) has condemned the horrifying incident where a man allegedly murdered his younger brother in Pfüchama village under Kohima District on 20 August 2023.

In a press release, SAYO expressed its sadness over the death of the deceased, Late Rokozeto Seletsu, while denouncing the horrifying act by the accused Lezo Seletsu.

“A brother is considered to be a role model and guide to his brother and siblings,” the organisation said, adding that the factricide was “beyond imagination and alien to our culture and society whatsoever.”

SAYO president Metekhrielie Mejura and General Secretary Metevizo Sophie further appealed to the law enforcement agency to book the accused at the earliest and reward befitting punishment as per the law.

The youth organisation also extended its solidarity with the loved ones of the deceased.
