SBI alerts customers of fraudulent reward points

The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a scam alert to its customers on fraudulent reward points.

It has informed on deceitful messages involving Android Package Kit (APK) files and messages promising users of redeeming reward points.

“It is observed that fraudsters are sending APKs and messages over SMS or WhatsApp for redeeming SBI reward points. Please note that SBI will never share links or unsolicited APKs over SMS or WhatsApp. Do not click on any such links or download unknown files. Stay Safe and Secure!!” cautioned the SBI.

The Nagaland Police has also issued the notice in the interest and safety of the public against scammers.
