The Securities and Exchange Board of India conducted a workshop on Security Market and Stocks Market at the Directorate of Information and Public Relation, Kohima at its conference hall on 18th November 2024.
Resource person, Securities Market Trainer, SEBI, Chenio Lotha who shared on the Savings and Investment urged the participants to ensure proper financial planning to achieve their goals. He said that investors need to identify the goals, assets, liabilities and also identify the likely earning and expenses so as to know on how much investors can plan and invest. He added that, the stakeholder should plan for emergencies, and has to be aware of inflation effects. Lotha highlighted the risk and reward matrix and spoke on other major benefits schemes. He explained how people invest in mutual-fund as lump – sum investment and the systematic investment plan.
Further, the Securities Market Trainer stressed the role of securities and participations in securities markets, important intermediaries in markets, investment in primary market, price discovery of shares in a public offering, process to participate in a primary market and investment in the secondary market, modes of placing order for trading.
