Two matches of the Senior Men’s Inter District Tournament Qualifiers were played on  March 16 in Tseminyu, producing contrasting results as Mon registered a comfortable victory over Kiphire, while Tseminyu secured a narrow win against Phek in a closely fought encounter.

Qualifier 1: Kiphire vs Mon

Result: Mon won by 7 wickets

Player of the Match: Lanpang P Konyak (Mon)

After winning the toss and opting to field, Mon’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance to restrict Kiphire to 109 in 19.3 overs. Despite the early setbacks, Sani Das provided a strong counterattack, scoring a quick 45 off 24 balls to push the total past the hundred mark.

Mon’s bowling attack maintained control throughout the innings, with Stephen Patton (3/28) leading the effort, while Mom8n supported well with 2/21.

In response, Mon chased down the target comfortably, reaching 112/3 in 15.3 overs. Lanpang P Konyak anchored the innings with a composed and unbeaten 51 off 31 balls, guiding his side to victory with ease. His match-winning knock earned him the Player of the Match award.

In the second qualifier fixture, Phek posted a competitive 137/3 in 20 overs after being put in to bat. Thepuvet provided a late surge with a quick 40 off 16 balls*, helping Phek finish strongly.

Tseminyu’s bowling effort was led by Prinal Deb (2/17) and Rohit Kumar Sah (1/14) who kept the scoring under control.

Chasing 138, Tseminyu successfully reached the target at 141/7 in 16.3 overs, with Sinilo Kent playing a crucial role in the chase. His composed 42 off 36 balls* anchored the innings and guided Tseminyu to victory in a tense finish, earning him the Player of the Match award.
