A sensitisation drive for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act of 2012 under the theme, “It takes a village to protect a child, let’s do it together” was held at Phenwhenyu Village Council Hall, Tseminyu on July 30. It was organised by District Child Protection Unit in collaboration with District Administration Tseminyu.

During the program, EAC Tseminyu, Mhathung Ngullie addressed the participants regarding the significance of organising such a drive. He reminded the Village Council Chairmen and Civil Society Organisations present that POCSO case cannot be compromised in any manner.

The program was attended by VCCs, GBs, and members of Rengma Hoho, Rengma Mother Association, churches, youth organisations and Students’ Union.
