Sentiyanger Imchen, a 1991 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Nagaland.

As per an official notification, Imchen, who is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner, will take charge from August 1 upon the superannuation of the incumbent Chief Secretary Dr. J Alam on July 31.
