Shamator Battalion, Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) / HQ 7 Sector AR on Tuesday organised a free Blood Group Test at Shamator College in Shamator district.

The Battalion stated that the ‘Know Your Blood Group’ drive was conducted with the aim of educating college students about the importance of being aware of one’s own blood group as well as the other blood group types, which can save one’s life and others’ too at times of emergency.

Solumba Yimchunger, Principal of Shamator College, lauded the initiative and commitment of the Assam Rifles and expressed his heartfelt gratitude and thankfulness to the Battalion for their kind gesture.
