Along with the rest of the Yimkhiungrüs across the state, the Shamator Town Thüneo Committee organised and celebrated the Tsüngkam Neo festival on 16 January.

S Yanba was the special guest of the celebration. He wished the gathering a joyous celebration of the festival and a prosperous year ahead.

The significance of the festival was shared by Dokiu Kecham, a public leader.

The oldest village, Y Anner, also celebrated the Tsüngkam Neo festival with a prayer from pastor Pintsü and a message from K Yimtokiu. Head GB.

The village council also organised competitions such as volleyball, traditional songs and dances, and top spinning.
